Lug 24, 2024 | News

As we are bringing all the project activities to a close, having produced a Legal literacy competence framework, a Students’ Textbook, and a teachers’ Manual for teaching elementary legal literacy, we now have the pleasure of inviting you to the final conference of the Project.

The Conference will take place at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka on 27th September 2024.

It will include a presentation of all project results, which will be open for online participants as well, and a workshop geared towards teachers (onsite only)

To participate in the Conference, we kindly ask you to fill in the online form provided here.

About the project

Legal literacy is an essential component of civic literacy. It empowers the citizens by introducing them to their rights and duties within their jurisdiction and by teaching them the legal instruments necessary to realize their rights and meet their duties. With this in mind, the project Law in Everyday Life aimed to strengthen elementary legal literacy in several European states.

The Forum of Freedom in Education (Croatia) spearheaded the project in collaboration with partners. These are the University of Rijeka and the Polytechnic of Rijeka from the academic sphere and several civil society organizations: Pistes Solidaires (France), Centro per il Sviluppo Creativo Danilo Dolci (Italy), INOVA+ – innovation services, S.A. and Agrupamento de escolas de Vilela, Paredes (Portugal).

The Project is financed through the Erasmus+ program.

In its course, the project team developed the resources for teaching legal literacy to final-year students of elementary and high schools.
