How we make law

In the previous modules, we learned why laws exist, their impact on society, and how power is divided in a country.

This module will explore how rules and regulations come to be. More precisely, how laws are made.
Throughout the first unit, we shall explore how policies pave the way for new laws, meaning how lawmaking starts before it comes to the parliament.
The second unit will describe the most common elements of the bill’s journey to becoming law.

Finally, in the third unit, we shall analyse the relationship between laws and citizens and how citizens can influence decision-making aside from elections.
Upon completion, you shall have the chance to test your knowledge with a final quiz.

Let’s go!
